Expert Payouts: When & How You Get Paid

Once you’ve completed a job and the customer confirms it, Hire Local processes your payout. All expert payments are done manually via bank transfer by the admin team.

When Do You Get Paid?

You are eligible for payout after these 3 steps are complete:

  1. You mark the job as completed
  2. The customer confirms the job is complete
  3. Admin is notified and begins payout processing

Payout timing:

    • Payments are usually processed within 3–5 business days
    • Delays may happen over weekends, holidays, or if banking info is incorrect

How Are You Paid?

Experts are paid via:

New Zealand Bank Transfer

    • You must enter your NZ bank account number in your Expert Dashboard
    • Payments are processed manually by the Hire Local admin
    • You’ll receive the full amount of your quoted price — no commission is deducted

Where to Enter Your Payment Details

To avoid payout delays:

  1. Go to your Expert Dashboard
  2. Click Account Settings
  3. Navigate to Payment Info or Bank Details
  4. Enter your NZ bank account name and number
  5. Save your changes

Make sure the details match your legal name and bank account — incorrect info may delay or block payment.

Payment Notifications

  • You’ll get an in-platform notification once your payout is processed
  • If there’s a delay, you can contact Hire Local support
