How to Deactivate Your Account

If you no longer want to use Hire Local, you have the option to deactivate your account. This removes your visibility on the platform and pauses all activity — without deleting your data completely.

What Deactivation Means

  • Your profile will no longer appear in searches
  • You won’t be able to apply for jobs or post jobs
  • You’ll stop receiving notifications and messages
  • Your data (messages, reviews, history) is saved in case you return

You can reactivate your account at any time by logging in and contacting support.

Steps to Deactivate Your Account

  1. Log into your Customer or Expert Dashboard

  2. Go to Account Settings

  3. Scroll to the bottom and click “Deactivate Account”

  4. Confirm your choice when prompted

Before You Deactivate

Make sure:

  • You have no active or ongoing jobs
  • You’ve withdrawn all earnings (if you’re an expert)
  • You’ve downloaded any receipts or invoices you might need

Want to Delete Your Account Instead?

If you want to permanently remove all your data:

  • Contact Hire Local support directly
  • Confirm that you understand all data will be erased and access will be lost
  • Account deletion is final and cannot be reversed
