How to Invite or Hire Experts

Once your job is posted, you don’t have to wait passively for offers. Hire Local gives you two key ways to connect with experts:

    • Invite experts directly to your job
    • Hire an expert from the applications you receive

Here’s how both options work:

Option 1: Inviting Experts to Your Job

If you find an expert you like while browsing, you can invite them to apply for your job directly.

Steps:
  1. Browse expert profiles
    Go to the Experts or Find Experts section. Use filters to narrow by category, location, or skill.
  2. Click on an expert profile
    Review their bio, services, ratings, and previous work.
  3. Click “Invite to Job”
    You’ll be asked to select which of your open jobs you want to invite them to.
  4. Send the invite
    The expert will be notified and can apply directly to your job.

Option 2: Hiring an Expert from Job Applications

After you post a job, experts can apply. You can review their offers and hire the one that suits you best.

Steps:
  1. Open your dashboard and go to the “My Jobs” section
    Click on the job to see a list of applicants.
  2. Click on each expert’s offer
    You’ll see their message, proposed price, and estimated timeline.
  3. Message the expert (optional)
    If you need clarification or want to ask questions, use the built-in chat.
  4. Click “Hire”
    Once you’ve chosen, click the “Hire” button. The job status will change to In Progress, and the expert can begin work.

Notes:

  • You can only hire one expert per job post. If you want multiple experts, create separate jobs.
  • If the expert rejects the invitation, you’ll be notified and can choose someone else.
  • Once hired, all communication and progress tracking happens within the job thread.
