How to Review Experts
Leaving a review after a job is completed helps other customers make informed choices — and gives recognition to great experts. It also keeps the quality of services on Hire Local high and transparent.
When Can You Leave a Review?
You’ll be prompted to leave a review after confirming the job is completed.
- Reviews can only be submitted by customers
- Only jobs that reached the “Completed” stage can be reviewed
- You can leave one review per job
How to Leave a Review
- Go to your dashboard → click on “My Jobs”
- Select the job that was marked Completed
- Click “Leave a Review”
- Fill in the review form: Star rating (1 to 5) — Written feedback (explain what went well or what didn’t) — Optionally, include feedback about communication, quality, or professionalism
- Click Submit
What Makes a Good Review?
Be honest and specific. Think about:
- Was the expert on time?
- Did they follow instructions?
- Was the work done well?
- Were they easy to communicate with?
Example of a helpful review:
“Sarah was quick, professional, and super friendly. She installed our shelves perfectly and even cleaned up after. Highly recommend!”
What Not to Include
Avoid:
- Offensive or abusive language
- Personal information (emails, phone numbers)
- Payment or pricing disputes — use support for those issues
If a review violates guidelines, it may be removed.
Can Experts Review Customers?
No — only customers can leave reviews on Hire Local. Experts receive ratings and feedback, which help them build trust and visibility.
