Payment Methods Accepted

Hire Local supports secure and straightforward payment methods for customers to pay for jobs. All expert payments are handled manually by the admin via bank transfer.

For Customers (Paying for Jobs)

Customers can pay using:

1. Stripe (Credit or Debit Card)

- Pay instantly at checkout using Visa or Mastercard
- Secure and fast
- Payment is processed directly by Hire Local Admin
- Job is activated immediately after payment

2. Bank Transfer (Manual)

Pay directly to Hire Local’s NZ business bank account
Payment instructions shown at checkout
Admin manually confirms payment
May take 1–2 business days to activate the job

For Experts (Receiving Payments)

All payouts are done manually by the Hire Local admin via:

New Zealand Bank Transfer

- Experts are required to enter valid NZ bank account details in their dashboard
- Once a job is marked completed by both parties, the admin processes payment
- Processing time: typically 3–5 business days
- Payments are released in full (no deductions from expert pricing)

Important Notes

No cash or off-platform payments are allowed
All transactions must go through Hire Local to ensure protection and support
Experts are paid only after the customer confirms the job is completed
