Using Your Dashboard
Once you’re signed in to Hire Local, the dashboard is your main control center. It’s where you manage everything — jobs, messages, reviews, profile info, and more. The layout is slightly different depending on whether you’re a Customer or an Expert, but both dashboards are simple to use.
Customer Dashboard Overview
As a customer, your dashboard helps you manage job posts, track progress, and communicate with experts.
Key Sections:
- My Jobs
See a list of your posted jobs. Each job shows its status:- Open
- In Progress
- Completed
- Canceled
Click on any job to view details, see offers, or message the expert.
- Messages
View all conversations with experts. You’ll be notified here when someone sends a message or responds to your job. - Invitations
See experts you’ve invited to apply. You can track who has accepted or declined. - Reviews
After a job is completed, leave a review and star rating from this section. - Profile Settings
Update your name, contact info, and password here.
Expert Dashboard Overview
As an expert, your dashboard is your workspace for finding jobs, applying, managing current work, and tracking earnings.
Key Sections:
- Job Listings / Find Jobs
Browse open jobs in your service category. Use filters to narrow by budget, location, or date posted. Click “Apply” to send an offer. - My Applications
View the jobs you’ve applied for and check their status (Pending, Accepted, Rejected). - My Jobs
Track jobs that are:- In Progress
- Completed
- Cancelled
You can message the customer, upload work updates, and mark the job as completed here.
- Earnings
Track completed jobs, pending payouts, and payment history. - Profile & Subscription
Update your service categories, skills, pricing, and manage your subscription plan.
Dashboard Tips
- Keep your dashboard updated — missed messages or status changes can delay jobs or payments.
- Enable email or push notifications for important updates like new applications or job offers.
- Use the dashboard to keep communication and work organized. Avoid switching to text or email — it breaks protection features built into the platform.
